Luck of the Irish

Lucky that Manti Te'o chose Notre Dame over BYU.
Lucky that Josh Nunes had a series of horrible mistakes.
Lucky that the line and replay refs are completely inept.

Now I'm not saying that ND would have lost to Stanford had the refs correctly seen that not only the tip, but nearly half of the football crossed the plane of the end-zone. The Irish were on fire and their defense had clamped down tight, but it's simply infuriating that we didn't get to see the game play out as it should have. If I had to guess who would have won the game in double over-time I would have picked Notre Dame, but that call was absolute garbage.

Stanford knew it, the announcers knew it, anyone with a decent view of the play knew it. And so the Irish march on.
